Dott.ssa Rosa Perez

I was born in Turin on August 24th, 1976, and I am the daughter of two English Professors. I graduated from the Liceo Classico Cavour (high school specializing in classical studies) in 1994, and then graduated with merit from the University of Turin in 2000.

Neuroscience, but, at the same time, keen to undertake a surgical career, I obtained a specialization degree with merit in Neurosurgery in Turin, in 2005. It was during this phase of my life that I was fortunate enough to shape and refine my surgical knowledge, thanks to the encounter with Prof. Franco Benech's profound competence. I had the honor to undertake an important professional collaboration with him that has lasted to this day.

During Graduate School, I had the opportunity to refine my professional maturity thanks to a Fellowship at La George Washington University in Washington D.C.; an internship with Prof. Samii in Hannover, and under the guidance of Prof. Hernesniemi in Helsinki.

In 2006, I was hired by the CTO Hospital in Turin, under the direction of Dr. Faccani, simultaneously maintaining collaboration with Fornaca Clinic with Prof. Benech.

Since 2009, I have had the opportunity to join my professional practice with that of Dr. Carlo Alberto Benech, with whom I have worked particularly in the treatment of neurovascular and spinal disease. During these years, we have shared stimulating work experiences, including the organization of the Live Surgery Course of brain aneurysms at the CTO Hospital. This was consolidated, over time, into a balanced and complementary collaboration, and put an autonomous, professional career path forward for us. This blossomed, after ten years of professional experience at the CTO Hospital, into the new, current working dimension, both at the Humanitas-Cellini Clinic in Turin, regarding spinal disease, and at the Galeazzi Hospital in Milan, as far as brain disease is concerned.

As author and co-author of scientific publications and conference reports, on a national and international level, I was fortunate enough to be able to sharpen my work with the experience, shared with my partner, Davide, of being a mother of two daughters. In my spare time, I cultivate the pleasure of music, which was crowned, years ago, with the degree of Master of Piano.
